I’m going to be out of the office for the next few days.
Where am I going? I’ll let the image on the right answer that.
And yes, I consider this documentary to be the definitive edition of the myth.
(Word of warning: Do NOT search for images from this movie with ‘safe search’ turned off. Yiiiiikes.)
Hopefully I’ll be able to post from the road and/or the nine hundred year old pub I will be visiting but I’m going with a certain school friend and -between us- we could outdrink Russia. So no promises.
Nothing like an outside risk of flooding to make a three day weekend of touring ruined castles that little bit more… English.

I have to admit I’m hella jealous. Have fun!

Posted by Deb | August 30, 2010, 6:41 pmI want to go too.
But I don’t do well with old furniture – though.
I vacationed on Vancouver Island B.C. and slept in a ‘short’ bed with the date 1632 on the head board – dark wood, poor mattress (tourist trap one), dark dusty burgundy colored bed curtains…. all I could think about was old gnarly toes of plague victims that had inhabited the bed in the past – possibly.
The pub sounds good – just watch for the toes. I like stouts! I love pubs.
